Kamah Ohr – Yehuda Loichter Releases His Debut Album
Yehuda Loichter comes from a very musical family, his father used to play with R’ Shlomo Carlebach and was one of the pioneers of Jewish music. As a child he would go with his father to many concerts and musical instruments were a staple part of his household, so it was only natural that he learned how to play most of them. Yehuda and his brothers started a music festival in memory of their father which has hosted a number of major stars, such as Ehud Banai, Shlomo Bar, Kobi Uz, Shuti Hanevuah, Udi Davidi, Yonatan and Aaron Razel, and others.
The work on his debut album Kamah Ohr was finished about a year ago, and since then he has been giving concerts all over Israel. He enlisted Dovid Lifshitz to do the musical production of the album. He wrote the lyrics for the songs himself, except for one song that is a cover of a Naomi Shemer original, as well as 3 other songs from other sources.
