Dirshu Kollel and Moshe Laufer present: “Hoyu Nechonim” a Musical Album in Honor of the Siyum Hashas
Dirshu kollel is the world’s largest organization with over one hundred thousand men are tested weekly throughout the world on Shas. Some of their programs include “Kinyan Shas”: goal achieving proficiency in the Talmuid Bavli. “Limud Halacha”: with Mishna Berura and many other programs.
Several months ago, the organization turned to the 13 composers and asked them to create songs with words from the following texts:
First: “אמר להם הקב”ה לישראל: בני, מה שמחה יש לו לאדם בעולם הזה, אלא בדברי תורה בלבד”
Second: “מבקש אתה לראות את השכינה בעולם הזה, עסוק בתורה בא”י שנאמר דרשו ה’ ועוזו בקשו פניו תמיד“
Many composers created spectacular songs. However at the end of the day they picked two of Moshe Laufer compositions to be anthems of the siyum hashas.
The other two songs were written by Rav Dovid Hofstedter of Toronto President of “Dirshu”.
Moshe Laufer arranged and conducted musical album, which features chassidic superstars Reb Isaac Honig, Reb Shloimy Daskal and Reb Yermiah Damen (it’s unusual for him to participate in productions outside those of Belz, or rather this is the first cooperation of his with Moshe Laufer after more thirty years where he worked with Mona Rosenblum), Eli Laufer and Ephraim Menas. The choirs were arranged by Eli Laufer.
The album will be sent to all members to Dirshu and eventually will be available in stores worldwide.
Meanwhile we received one of the songs a hit that is going to be the anthem of the summer in the yeshiva world, performed by Isaac Honig.
