Yaakov Shwekey Launches Project of the Decade: “The Music of Shabbos”
After hard work, Yaakov Shwekey is releasing his flagship project: “The Music of Shabbos,” a masterpiece album that includes over 127 Shabbat songs from all denominations and styles, bringing the atmosphere of Shabbat to every Jewish home.
Now emerging from it is the series “Shalosh Seudos,” consisting of the treasures of the great composers, Rabbi Ben Zion Shenker, Yossi Green, Mona Rosenblum, Moshe Goldman, Abie Rotenberg, and others.
The project, produced by Shwekey and Doni Gross, brings together the top performers in Jewish music: Mona Rosenblum, Moshe Laufer, Suki Berry, Yisrael Lamm, and Yoeli Dickman to create ten series that review Shabbat from its beginning to its end.
The musical experience is further deepened with a companion book edited by Yisroel Besser (in collaboration with “Artscroll“), which brings the stories behind the lyrics and melodies, making the album a cultural asset in every home.
