Lchaim! Yaakov Shwekey With A New Album
In a world of more singles and fewer albums, Yaakov Shwekey‘s new album is still in the ranks of lovers of Jewish music in the world.
Three years after his last album “Musica“, Shwekey presents in a joint production with Yitzy Waldner his 11th album, with 13 new songs that combine contemporary pop alongside ultra-Chassidic music with songs in Yiddish, Hebrew and English.
In the new album, for the first time, in collaboration with hardcore producers of chassidic music, Naftali Schnitzler, Hershy Weinberger, Mendy Hershkowitz and Avrumi Berko, alongside Shwekey’s regular partners in writing, composing and producing music in recent years: Yitzy Waldner, Sruli Besser, Miriam Israeli, Ravid Kashti, Daniel Kapler, Moshe Laufer, and of course the older brother Reb Moshe Dovid Shwekey who joins the duet in the piyyut “Lecha Atzmi“.
The long list of Shwekey‘s chuppa hits joins the current album “Shtei Neshamot“, an exciting ballad written by Yitzy Waldner and Miriam Israeli.
