“Kishetigdal Tavin-When You Grow Up You Will Understand”: Maor Amsalem in New Single That Describes the Quiet Voice of a Child Asking to Be Seen

Singer-songwriter Maor Amsalem releases a moving new single called “Kishetigdal Tavin” a song written from the perspective of a child who looks at the world with innocent eyes, but feels everything intensely.

The lyrics, written by Omri Sasson, Israel Algrabli, Maor Amsalem, and Nohrai Arieli, delicately touch on themes of longing, confusion, the search for home, and unconditional love. It is an inner voice that speaks quietly, without accusations or sides, only an exposed emotional truth.

“Kishetigdal Tavin” does not tell a story about adults, but rather reminds us that children are always in the middle. They hear, feel, wait – even when it seems they are “too young to understand.” The recurring chorus, in which the child turns to his father figure and asks for a simple “good morning” hug, is a heartbreaking moment of hope and tenderness.

Maor Amsalem manages to bring a sincere, clean and sensitive performance to this song, one that does not try to impress – but rather to touch. This is a very personal song, dedicated to every child who grows up in a complex reality and asks for one simple thing: to be felt.
