Are You Ready? Here Comes… ‘The Dokshitzer Niggun’!

Singer Simche Friedman, arranger Moshe (Mushmush) Avraham and The Malchus Choir bring you a Chabad melody from Dokshitz – an uplifting and irresistible Chasidic tune, sizzling with joyous energy. This is a hit you will listen to again and again!

As the summer begins, Chasidic singer Simche Friedman has released a new single with the pulsating and joyous ‘Dokshitzer Niggun‘. This is a modern arrangement of a lively Chabad melody composed by the Chasidim of Dokshitz, near Minsk and Vilna, which had a Chabad presence from the time of the Alter Rebbe. It is number 145 in Sefer HaNiggunim.

The fast-moving arrangement is the work of multi-talented Moshe (Mushmush) Avraham, the vocal backups are by Pinchas Bichler and The Malchus Choir, and the mix comes from the superbly capable Eli Klein.

The picture on the cover shows the structure of the synagogue of the Lubavitcher Chassidim in the town of Dokshitz. This picture – which was originally taken in black and white – Was found in the archives of the town of Dokshitz And was repainted with a special technique.

The single is part of an entire album of Chabad Niggunim which the team is working on now. The album will feature many songs that are not so well known.

The Dokshitzer Niggun‘ is sure to become a staple at weddings and Simchas in the years to come.

Ach Ach Ach, S’iz Geshmak!
