A Hidden Treasure From Shlomo Carlebach For Yom Tov: Shlomo Katz – Veyede Kol Paul
Shlomo Katz, who is renowned for his work in the dissemination of hidden compositions of R’ Shlomo Carlebach, is now releasing a single off of his upcoming album. Almost a year ago, Shlomo released the song “Leshana Habah” for the 18th Yahrtzeit of R’ Carlebach. Shlomo’s new album, “Likrat Shabbat”, is entering the final stages of production now, and will contain 11 songs of R’ Carlebach’s that were never really publicized.
For the Yomim Noraim, Shlomo is releasing a single, Veyede Kol Paul, taken from the liturgy of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. The tune was composed by R’ Carlebach in the early 60’s when he was only singing a little bit and was not yet very popular. This special song was recorded and mixed by Amit Golan in Yerushalayim.
