Debut Video: Chaim Alter Hosts The Greats of The Singers “Lechaim Chanukah”

Singer Chaim Alter is embarking on a solo career, launching a debut clip “Lechaim Chanukah” in which he hosts a pair of respected names in the conservative Chassidic music industry – Ahrele Samet and Chaim Pollak.

Chaim Alter, until recently one of the senior members of the Malchut Choir, chooses to begin his solo career with a unique Chanukah medley, in which he combines a series of fine songs from Chanukkah hits, into a special medley. “Lechaim Chanukah” has an innovative arrangement by his brother, the talented arranger and Malchut Choir member Yeedela Alter.

The medley begins with Hershey Weinberger’s “Blachten”, continues through “Hanerot Hallu” by Dudi Kalisch, moves to the special version of Vizhnitz, which was first revealed from the nostalgic work of the late Rabbi Yitzchak Unger, performed by Chaim Pollak with the warmth and presentation of Vizhnitz. It continues with the special fusion of the words “Chasoif” to the song “Mame Rachel” by Mordechai Ben David, and ends with Moshe Oysher’s rhythmic and nostalgic song “A Gutten Chanukah”, originally performed by Shulem Lemmer
