Ahrele Samet & Mendy Goldberg In A New Version of The Ancient Tune: “Der Zemer”

Ahrele Samet & Mendy Goldberg In A New Version of The Ancient Tune: “Der Zemer”

A special work composed in the court of Rabbi Moshe of Stolin, son of the Yanuka of Stolin, in Frankfurt, by the pious Rabbi Yisrael Yehuda Kula zt”l.

The composer Rabbi Yisrael Yehuda, who had his son Yerachmiel in his youth, said, “I will now sing a song that will take me out of sorrow,” and this is the same song that was composed in these moments.

Mendy Goldberg grew up on the song, which was sung almost every Shabbat night with longing and exaltation on the Shabbat by Rabbi Shimon Natan Neta zt”l of Lelov.

Ahrele Samet recently heard the song from Rabbi Elimelech Biderman, who is a descendent of Lelov, and contacted Mendy about the wonderful song, and the two of them teamed up to release it with a musical production invested in an arrangement by David Taub and Mendy Goldberg himself.
