“Hamalach Litzidi” : Israel Gavra In A New Song In Memory of His Grandfather, The Kabbalist Rabbi Shalom Chamdi zt”l
A week before the celebration of the tzaddik and kabbalist, one of the most important rabbis of Yemenite Judaism, Rabbi Shalom Levi Chamdi zy”a (which began on the eve of Purim), his grandson, singer Israel Gavra, is releasing a song of longing and prayer dedicated to his image: “Hamalach Litzidi“.
The song was born out of a deep connection to the rabbi’s legacy. The lyrics were written by the tzaddik’s son, Michael Chamdi, and they were masterfully composed and musically produced by Gil Nagar.
The image of Rabbi Shalom Chamdi zt”l is engraved in the hearts of many as a humble servant of HaShem, complete with the splendor of his virtues who performed miracles and turned many from sin. Those who were in his presence were captivated by his wondrous charm, and his great light illuminated the path for many in the labyrinths of this world.
The song is an expression of the bonds and unbreakable bond between generations, seeking to pass on the rays of light of a true righteous man, which continue to shine to this day.
