Shloime Gertner – Mi Kamocha (Reb Shlomo Carlebach Z”l)

Shloime Gertner – Mi Kamocha (Reb Shlomo Carlebach Z”l)

This extraordinary composition, originally crafted by the legendary Reb Shlomo
Carlebach
Z”l, draws inspiration from the valiant efforts of Yehuda Hamaccabi as he faced
the challenges of the Yevunim during the era of the Beis Hamikdash.
Reb Shlomo Carlebach Z”l, channeled the spirit of unity and praise for Hashem in the
timeless lyrics, echoing the sentiments of “Mi Kamocha Boelim Hashem.” Though the song
was never professionally released, it has found a new life through the collaboration of the
talented Gershy Moskowits, our project producer.

As a Special Chanukah Gift:
Chananya Goldenberg, a devoted Carlebach enthusiast, recognized the exceptional beauty
of “Mi Kamocha” and shared his passion with Gershy Moskowitz. In the spirit of
Chanukah—a time of miracles and celebration—they decided to bring this hidden gem to
light. Along with the brilliant arrangement by Avrumi Berko, has woven a musical tapestry
that captivates the soul.

As the flickering lights of the Chanukah candles illuminate the darkness, let the enchanting
melody of “Mi Kamocha” resonate in your hearts.
