In the early 1990’s back in a time where collaboration albums didn’t exist, one man had a vision to create a unique listening experience consisting of only the “BEST OF THE BEST” Gideon Levine. A world renowned composer, singer and producer.
The album was named “THE BEST OF THE BEST” Vol. 1 and it featured the top singers of its time, all together in one album (cassette a that time) with all new original songs. Singers like; MBD, Dedi, MBC child soloist Oded Kariti, Shlomo Simcha, Rivie Schwebel, Dov Levine, Abish Brodt, Yossi Piamenta, Ari Klein, Shmilu Rosenberg, Yossi Green, Yeedle Werdyger, Mendy Werdyger and Ari Pollak.
A few years later after the HUGE success of Vol. 1 Gideon released “THE BEST OF THE BEST” Vol. 2. The new album featured some new up and coming names in those days like; Yaakov Shwekey, Lipa Schmeltzer, Dovid Gabay, Shloime Dachs, Yisroel Williger, Mendy Wald, Yossi Rose, Mendy Jerufi as well as classic starts like; MBD, Yeedle, Dedi, Shlomo Simcha and others. Again Gideon proved that not only were his compositions stellar and top of the line, but so was the production. Just like the first album Vol 2 was also arranged masterfully by the talented young Ruvi Banet. Levine seemed to have a 6th sense which would help him “match” up these singers with the perfect song for them.
In the 2000’s these timeless classics were converted to CD’s as Jewish music was following the times. however in recent years with the decline in music sales, these album were out of print and could not be found anywhere. Until now… Presenting for the very first time DIGITALLY REMASTERED and available on ALL digital platforms, “THE BEST OF THE BEST” Volumes 1 & 2. You can now enjoy these amazing albums all over again.
