Moti Weiss – Yibaneh Hamikdash [Official Music Video]
The song Yibaneh Hamikdash came out about a year ago, a bunch of friends and Moti Weiss were in Padova/Venice, on the day of the yahrtzeit of the Rama”d Walli, where he is buried.
On Friday night we sat in the local Chabad house, together with all kinds of Jews, and we sang the familiar tune for Yibaneh Hamikdash, and it went on and on and on.
One person there was singing U’Birnono with his Litvish pronunciation, another was singing Ee-beernunu with his Chassidic pronunciation, and the third was singing with his Hebrew pronunciation U’Birnana. From this came the idea to put them all together into one uniting sound of U’birnana nanananana Na’aleh. This is the type of connected feeling Moti tries to bring to every simcha that he is invited to sing and perform at.
