Udi Davidi’s fourth album – “Ruchot Tovot” (Good Winds)

Udi Davidi, one of the outstanding creative forces in the world of Jewish music, has released his fourth album "Ruchot Tovot" right now, just before Shavuot. The album’s appearance has been delayed due to the many things Davidi has been involved in, but the wait has been well worthwhile, and reactions from those who have already managed to buy the disc are suitably favorable. The collection contains numerous hits, among which Davidi for the first time proffers three bonus tracks of well-loved shabbos songs set to new music.
The unique creativity of the Davidis is expressed through their musical partnership. Their songs are written and composed by them together as a team. The couple’s songs present a world in which music strengthens, written in a simple, direct style that anyone, religious or not, can relate to. Davidi uses sweeping melodies to express longing for the Ribbono shel Olam, for Eretz Hakodesh and for an ideal world in which love and concern for one’s fellow man is an end in itself.
The musical arrangements in the album are varied and range from pulsing rock to melting classic ones. "Whenever we perform, people beg us to sing upbeat songs", says Davidi, "so now we have tried to fulfil that request. It is a great zechut for me to hear from people, both in Israel and around the world, that our songs be’ezrat Hashem give them chizuk and hope."
There are thirteen tracks on "Ruchot Tovot", the last three as we mentioned, are "updated shabbat songs. In K-ah Ribbon Udi’s son, Harel Davidi, makes his debut as a soloist.
