For The First Time: Aaron Razel Sings Acapella “Lech Ami”
Aaron Razel was at a family gathering at the very beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak, at which he was requested to compose a melody for the passuk of Lech Ami Bo Ba’Chadarecha, which so poignantly express the current situation.
According to the musical commentary Aaron placed on the words “Bo Bachadarecha”, he is essentially saying “go and close yourself off, enter your homes, distance yourself from people”. If that doesn’t make you think of this weird time when we have masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers…
Then the second part of the song, he changes the mood with the words of “Chabi Kimat Rega”, to a mood of comfort and hope…soon Hashem will bring an end to all of this.
This is Aaron’s first ever acapella song he has released, in which he connected with acapella arranger Alon Hillel to produce the track.
