Tali Yess – Modeh Ani

Tali Yess – Modeh Ani

With the recent birth our son Meir a little over a week ago, my wife, who is the powerhouse behind all the music I put out lately has request that I make a “Modeh Ani” song for him that is happy and light and that he can wake up to each morning.

While I try to experiment with different styles of music, (and there are few that I haven’t written songs in at this point) I felt the tropical relaxing vibes of reggae would set the mood perfectly for this track.

It has a Hebrew chorus, but there are English lyrics explaining the meaning of the words of this most foundational prayer of gratitude that we as Jews are required to start our day of service to Hashem with each day.

I have much to be thankful for and the birth of my son, and the release of the latest Journeys 5 album, this felt like an opportune time to put this song out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Please find attached promotional copy of this track for your broadcasting purposes.

I thank you for always playing a big part in my music reaching the right Jewish people.

Best regards,
~Tali Yess
