“Rotzeh L’hiyot Abba” Kobi Brummer Cries Out The Cry of Expectant Mothers
It all started with a nightly conversation in the car. Kobi Brummer was sitting with his friend Mendy Weiss, who had opened his heart and shared the longing that had been burning in him for ten years for children. When Kobi told him in an attempt to comfort him that children also mean sleepless nights, Mendy cried from the depths of his heart: “Ani Rotzeh L’hiyot Abba, I want to get up at night!”. A few minutes later, Kobi connected with the composer Netanel Leifer, who wrote the song after being exposed to a painful text written by his friend who had not yet had a child, a miraculous timing that felt like a small prophecy. Since then, Mendy has already managed, with Hashem’s help, to hug a daughter, and the song that was born that night is now being published.
Brummer himself, who, thank God, is already the father of two daughters, brings to the forefront the prayer and pain of those couples who are still waiting. The song was written and composed by Netanel Leifer, and the arrangement and musical production was entrusted to Itamar Shkedi, and the result is a powerful and touching performance, with the hope and prayer that everyone will soon receive good news.
