Raphael Melloul With The Chassidic Hit “Shalom”
For a year now, chassidic music artist Raphael Melloul has been slowly approaching his debut album. From single to single, the range of possibilities that are almost impossible for him is revealed. This time, he presents a completely chasidic hit “Shalom.” The words of the Mishnah in mesechtas Uktzin who describes the virtue of Shalom in Israel:”אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן בֶּן חֲלַפְתָּא, לֹא מָצָא הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא כְּלִי מַחֲזִיק בְּרָכָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל אֶלָּא הַשָּׁלוֹם, שֶׁנֶּאמר ה’ עֹז לְעַמּוֹ יִתֵּן ה’ יְבָרֵךְ אֶת עַמּוֹ בַשָּׁלוֹם (תהילים כט)”.
In this charged period, the words like the melody fall on very attentive ears. The lyrics and melody were written by Elchanan Elchadad, and the bouncy arrangement belongs to Shmuel Cohen. “Shalom” is already the third single, last summer Rafael released his first single, and since then he has been releasing more and more hits. His songs on are constantly being added to radio hit playlists and played on repeat.
“When Elchanan Elchadad sent me the song, I really liked the strong message, I immediately connected to the strong and happy rhythmic melody, and I felt that the song ‘Shalom‘ sits well on me,” says Rafael. Already in the first demo, everyone who was in the studio realized that it was Raphael’s summer song, “I feel like I bring in this song the authentic follower of yesteryear…”.
“I make sure that all my songs have a positive and strengthening message,” says Raphael.
As mentioned, with such a lively melody and arrangement, it will be difficult to get through the summer without humming it over and over again…
