With the prayer that the words in this song will be fulfilled in our own days, I’m honored to share my new single, “Shomer Yisrael”, produced by Yochi Briskman.

The Hebrew verse begins with words recited daily in the Tachanun service and most fervently in the Selichos service around the High Holidays:

שומר גוי קדוש
שמור שארית עם קדוש
ואל יאבד גוי קדוש
המשלשים בשלוש קדושות לקדוש

Guard the Holy Nation
Guard the remnant of the Holy Nation
Let the Holy Nation never be destroyed
Who praise You three-fold, who cry out “Holy are You!” three times a day,
[Who cry out to You,] the Holy One.

Then the song breaks into an original Yiddish chorus, interwoven with Hebrew verses:

שמור שארית עם קדוש
