Nefesh Yehudi Jewish A Cappella

Nefesh Yehudi Jewish A Cappella

Nefesh Yehudi Jewish A cappella is an all-male group of high school and college students in Cleveland, Ohio. The group was formed by Acappella mogul Jordan Gorfinkle in fall 2010, and they have since performed in the Cleveland area for various synagogues under the leadership of Simcha Tamkin. Nefesh Yehudi offers a refreshing vocal ensemble that is perfect for leading an uplifting and song-filled tefillah on shabbat, or providing guests with classic Jewish music at any event.

My Israel, My Roots is a song recorded by Nefesh Yehudi Jewish A cappella, using the tune from the hit song “Just a Dream” by Nelly (2010 Universal Records). The lyrics were written and adapted by Simcha Tamkin, and a music video was made featuring the group and depicting sweeping scenery filmed in Israel. The music video was produced in honor of the 64th anniversary of the independence of the State of Israel. The song is currently available for download on itunes and amazon.
