Modeh Ani – Shmily Morgenstern
This song is a heartfelt expression of gratitude to Hashem for the miraculous recovery from a severe car accident. Despite the dire prognosis from an officer on the scene, Shmily faced a long and painful recovery, during which he couldn’t produce any singing sound due to the injury.
Thanks to the divine intervention of Cantor Hersh Einhorn, the right emissary from Hashem, Shmily‘s voice not only returned but is even better than before. The medley “Modeh Ani,” inspired by Cantor Yossele Rosenblatt, incorporates elements of light chazzanut from Cantor Hersh Einhorn, creating a beautiful tribute.
