Michoel Pruzansky In His First Ever Acapella Single “Pray Acapella”
Michoel Pruzansky is known over the last two decades for his fun and upbeat albums. While “Pruzbul“put him on the map, he continued the trend with MP3, Pruz Control and Shootin For The Moon. Pruz Control however, has a special place in Michoel’s heart.
It was on that album that co-producer Yochanan Shapiro (Acheinu fame) and harmony master Avrumi Briskman A”H worked tirelessly to ensure that every song had the right amount of harmony and blend. Avrumi had a brilliant music mind and he worked on many albums over the years, and was responsible for beautiful harmonic choir and background vocals on a number of albums.
He knew all the nuances and twists and turns to take a song melodically to the next level. It was for that reason that Michoel and Yochanan decided to take the song “Pray” off of Pruz Control as his first acapella single. “Pray” is one of the songs that Avrumi wove his hamonic magic. Even more so, once you remove the music tracks, these amazing harmonies really shine and are brought to the forefront.
With Avrumi‘s first yahrtzeit approaching, Michoel and Yochanan thought this song was really apropos to highlight Avrumi’s talent and of course the message of the power and importance of prayer.
