Mati Shriki With A New Album “M’eera Bachashaicha”

Singer and songwriter, Mati Shriki, releases his third album “M’eera Bachashaicha“, bringing with it a unique musical message that combines artistic honesty with a message of hope. The album, created mostly over the past year, presents a significant development in Shriki‘s style.
“In these times when our people need a shot of faith, I felt more than ever, the need to illuminate as much as I can and connect to our inner truth, whose essence will always remain bright and good, despite all the darkness around,” says Shriki about the creative process. “This is my message: to continue to illuminate, each with his own tools and to continue to hope for complete redemption, both on a private and personal level of each and every one and on a general level of the entire Jewish people.”
The album was produced by Shriki largely independently in his home studio. “I discovered an exciting and moving experience, jumping into the water, imagining and trying to find the right tools in this sea of music and sounds,” he shares. Working alongside him was producer Noam Ekrevi (Idan Reichel, Ivri Leider, Eliad Nachum), who accompanied the process, was responsible for the final mix, and co-produced the theme song “”M’eera Bachashaicha.” Ekrevi even contributed an original melody to the song “Poteiach” on the album.
Alongside original songs from “Hachaim,” Mati‘s work constantly revolves around faith and redemption. The theme song deals with redemption and longing for the Bais Hamikdash, Mizmor Litoda offers a musical interpretation of the famous verse from Tehillim, and the song Amru Bachadashot, yearns for a hug from HaShem. “If I didn’t have you, what would I do, if I didn’t have faith…”
“I think the writing of the lyrics on this album has changed compared to the previous albums and has become much more exposed, direct. Less hidden in codes and rhymes, more simple words of the heart,” concludes Shriki.
