This song, composed by Benzion Klatzko is a reunion between two incredibly creative and passionate people, Rabbi Klatzko and Pinny Schachter, who first collaborated on the Shabbat.com album (performed by Pinny Schachter and composed by Rabbi Klatzko) which included such hit songs as “The Chupah Song,” “Sim Shalom,” “Kol Z’maan,” and “Ma Nishtana“). Later, they collaborated on “Yedid Nefesh,” “Chai Hashem,” “Al Eleh,” “Yonah Matza,” “Avi,” and other songs that have been warmly received by the Jewish listening audience. We hope “Ki Hashem” will join these classics as another way of appreciating Torah, Judaism, and Jewish music.
The one true Hashem is a God of wisdom and wonders. The Torah is replete with accounts of great acts Hashem has performed for His people and for all of mankind. Among His wondrous achievements is a world filled with every imaginable creation, each contributing to a global ecology and effecting the Earth in unimaginable ways! From the birds and sea animals, to the plants and mammals, each created with genius and perfection. When we say that Hashem is a God of wonders, we mean that He is a God who carries out miraculous works. Hashem’s wonders declare His absolute control over events, people, and powers. They reveal His presence on Earth through the beauty of the world He created with love.
