JI EXCLUSIVE! Shlomo Carlebach “Songs Of Peace” Out Today Via Sojourn Records!

Shlomo Carlebach, known as the ‘Father of Modern Jewish Music’ may no longer be with us but his music continues to live on in the hearts and minds of those he touched with his songs. This has never been more obvious than on his newest release, “Songs of Peace”, which hits today (October 27) via Sojourn Records. Fifteen years after his passing, Sojourn will be offering the world a chance to hear two phenomenal and previously unreleased performances recorded live in 1973. Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach’s legacy is still thriving thanks to the continued play and singing of his songs by millions of people worldwide. This year, in remembrance of his life and work, major commemorative events have been planned throughout early November across the Unites States, Canada, Australia, Europe and Israel.

For “Songs of Peace”, Carlebach’s daughter Neshama and the estate of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach have collaborated with Sojourn Records to produce these two recently discovered live sets. This is your opportunity to listen to an offering from a man no longer here, recorded over thirty-five years ago – yet strangely and hauntingly of this moment in time.
