The Gift of a Sefer Torah For The Memory of Maran Rav Ovadia Yosef
Hundreds and thousands of people attended a special event at the Kever of Maran Rav Ovadia Yosef on his yahrtzeit last week, Gimmel Cheshvan. The event was broadcast live on Radio Kol Berama, on the popular Chidodon channel. On top of the musical accompaniment was singer Avi Ben Yisrael.
Accompanying Avi were popular singers Avishai and Itzik Eishel, sound was engineered by Ronen Avraham. Overseeing the event was “Sar Ha’Simcha” Ami Maimon.
Many important Rabbis and community members came and joined in the writing of the letters.
To highlight the evening, Rav Ovadia’s son, Rav Yitzchak Yosef, was invited to bless the completion of the Sefer Torah, and to write the last letter.
