From The Project: Barak Cohen In A New Single – “Shema Israel”
Singer Barak Cohen launches a new single from the “Bachazara Lamikorot” project called ‘Shema Yisrael’ in an Israeli Chassidic tone with Mediterranean touches.
The song was written and composed by Barak Cohen, inspired by the hymn composed by the Rebbe Kaliv, ztz”l, the arrangement and musical production by Eli Klein and Yitzy Berry.
Cohen, who began his career in children’s choirs and at the age of 14 was already nicknamed “the miracle child”, burst into the scene with a debut album that was successful thanks to new performances of mikoros-texts from the sources. Over the years, he has released seven original albums, including “Bagan Shoshanim”, “Chayav LiHishtanot”, “Borei Olam” and “Haderech Sheli”.
