Aba Sheli is a song that helps us connect to our Creator of the world the way a son connects to his beloved father, But not just any father, rather He is a father that is our very own- Sheli. The pictures of fathers and their children are here as an aid to help us realize that just as a father loves his child, so does Hashem love us. We must keep this in mind at all times in our life, even when we don’t see that love expressed, even when it seems so hidden.
This song was composed on Fathers day, Although in Judaism there is no such holiday, since everyday is a day to appreciate ones father, nevertheless as humans we sometimes needs reminders. I dedicate this song to my father, the best father I could ever ask for. Aba sheli.
