Baruch Levine – Umacha Acapella
Dear Friends,
It has been the מנהג of כלל ישראל that when we say the temporary goodbye to our departed, we recite the פסוק in ישעיה of ומחה ה’ דמעה
It always struck me how these words are not sad words, rather they are hopeful words, words we desperately cling to until that time will come.
I composed this song with a balance of minor and major chords. In music, minor chords validate the feeling of sadness and loss, while major chords evoke feelings of happiness and hope.
כלל ישראל feels the pain of too many אבלים in mourning. We are devastated and broken. May Hashem change their sadness to simcha so we can very soon feel the hope and happiness that is waiting for us…… It’s right around the corner.
