When the days of rachamim and slichot are here, I remember the song of the late Reb Yom Tov Ehrlich, about Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchov, “סניגורם של ישרא,” The one who asks Hashem for “Benei Yisroel is your son, have mercy on them as a mother on her sons!”
Here is a performance of the song ‘Di Haartz Fun A Mame‘ (Mother’s Heart), from the show of for the tzedakah ‘Ten Yad‘, which took place last winter.
