Artist & Composer Shimon Chanun In A Moving Performance of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach’s Rare Song “Mimkomo”
Artist and composer Shimon Chanun launches a new single-clip, a revival of a moving Chassidic song from Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach‘s school, which carries a prayer and a request for mercy for the people of Israel through the power of reciting “Shema Yisrael“.
The composition for the song was born by chance during a trip, and has since become a significant part of the singer’s personal and spiritual journey. According to him, the current period brings with it a broad spiritual awakening, with a strengthening of simple faith in the land and the world.
The single is being released on Rosh Chodesh Nisan – a time of renewal and redemption, and on the birthday of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.
