Yismachu With A New Twist By Shmili Landau Feat. Hershy Weinberger

Yismachu With A New Twist By Shmili Landau Feat. Hershy Weinberger

When I was a kid, this niggun was always playing somewhere in the background of my life. The original “Yismachu” by Reb Shlomo Carlebach was one of those songs you just grow up with, the kind of melody that doesn’t just sound good, it feels heilig. Even back then, I felt there was something different about it, something deeper than a regular song… like it was speaking straight to the neshama. And at the same time, I always imagined what it would feel like if that same heilig energy hit with real electronic music exploded onto a dance floor.

One Thursday night in Yerushalayim, my friend NECHEMYA and I finally decided to bring that vision to life. We built the production from scratch, turning that childhood memory into a full-on dance track while keeping the heart and kedusha of the original. When I sent it to Hershey Weinberger, he completely elevated it and added a brand new section that honestly gave me chills the first time I heard it. This song is my way of honoring where I came from and bringing that same neshama into today’s sound. Something you can connect to, sing along with, and dance to at the same time. I hope you feel the simcha in it as much as I felt creating it.
