TYH Nation Presents: WHY ME – Aryeh Rubin

TYH Nation Presents: WHY ME – Aryeh Rubin

Why me? The mission is great, and the challenges are mighty.

Sometimes we look at ourselves, and then up at Heaven, and we wonder: Hashem, why me? Why was I chosen for this? Why did You give me such a big mission? You know me. Am I really up to the test? Can I withstand the challenges?

But then we flip the question.

Not “why me,” but “what can I accomplish?”

If I was chosen, then I have the ability.

Moshe Rabbeinu stood at the burning bush and struggled with these exact questions. He did not feel ready. He asked Hashem, “Who am I?” He hesitated. He argued. And Hashem still sent him, because he was chosen. He was the one.                                  You are the one!

So when the overwhelming feelings creep in, we remember: if Hashem placed us here, with these circumstances and this mission, then He believes in us. He knows we can prevail. He knows we are up to the test.
