Singer David Sitbon Surprises With A Single Written During The War: “Lihitbonein Nachon”
Singer David Sitbon, one of the most moving and powerful voices in Jewish music, celebrates 15 years of creativity and performances in Israel and around the world. During the last war, David performed at dozens of IDF bases across the country, with hundreds of performances on a full-time basis for soldiers, moments of encouragement, light and breath during the most difficult period.
Now he is launching “Lihitbonein Nachon” – a single written out of a sense of helplessness and deep pain of a person who does not see a clear future. A feeling that the entire Jewish people have recognized in the last two years of war, fracture and uncertainty.
But amidst all this comes a clear and sharp message: Every person has a personal window, an inner point of light through which they can choose to see the good.
Even when it is dark, even when the heart is heavy – there is always a small opening that chooses life, that chooses hope.
David Sitbon unites the personal story with the national story, creating a work that asks us to stop, observe… and discover the light that never goes out.
