Benaya Bar Rabbi Sings Tzama
A few days before Rosh Hashanah, another single is released as part of the ‘Tzama‘ niggun project. This is the Chassidic niggun ‘Seu Shearim‘, which is refreshingly performed by the artist Benaya Bar Rabbi, expressing the acceptance of the renewed Malchut of HaShem on Rosh Hashanah.
The words of the famous niggun ‘Seu Shearim‘ are taken from the last four verses of Tehillim 24, which we recite in the evening davening of the Yamim Noraim. These verses express the acceptance of the Malchut of HaShem- which is renewed every year – upon us. In this, we declare our belief that everything that happens to us in the coming year is from Him, and that the guiding hand of HaShem directs all our actions.
Now, just days before the start of the new year, the tune “Seu Shearim” is being released as part of the “Tzama” tune project, led by Rabbi Moshe Shilat and musically produced by Naor Carmi, in a refreshing performance by the artist Benaya Bar-Rebbe, with the precisions that have been preserved in Chabad Chassidim for generations.
