Yoeli Klein & Shaya Gross Present: “A Fire Zol Brenen”
A powerful and sacred song is being reborn – “A Fire Zol Brenen” – the work of the holy young man Mattisyahu Gelman, who wrote and composed it together with his band, the “Matisovtzes“, during the days of wrath.
The “Matisovtzes“, pure young men who hid in the forests during the Holocaust, worshipped Hashem out of distress. In the darkness, they found strength to strengthen themselves through this song, which carried them with supreme devotion until they were murdered Al Kiddush Hashem by the Nazis. Some of the verses of the song were brought by Rabbi Yosef ben G’nesha, who heard them from the holy courtyards, where the melody prevails with special dveikus.
Now, the song born from the fire of devotion, awakens to new life, performed by Yoeli Klein and Shaya Gross, and rekindles the hearts of its listeners.
For this alone, it is k’dai to be a chossid!
