Avraham Fried With A New Melody & A Surprising Story “R’ Chaim Isaac’s Nigun”
The beloved singer Avraham Fried releases a new and joyful song, which comes with an unusual story – a surprising connection to his personal roots:
“I didn’t know this melody until someone sent it to me – and I fell in love with it at the first
hearing. I decided to record it, and during the recording I asked: What is the name of the melody?”
“To my surprise, they answered me: It’s the ‘Nigun of R. Chaim Isaac Krasniansky‘ – my wife’s great-grandfather!
He was a well-known Chassid in the Skver Chassidus, who brought many melodies with him from Russia to America.
At that moment, I understood why I was so attached to this melody in the first place.”
The heartwarming melody, in Fried‘s rousing performance, manages to touch the deep veins of the soul – especially when it is wrapped in such a personal story.
