Moti Rosenfeld Presents: Singing to Reb Meilich! Yoeli Davidowitz, The Malchut Choir & Moti Rosenfeld With The Liszensk Medley!
Just before the crowds of Jews from all over the world make their way to Liszensk in Poland to daven at the kever of the late Rabbi Elimelech of Liszensk, a special medley entirely made up of ‘Liszensk’ is released in a live performance from a wedding that took place this week in Israel.
On the music stage is Moti Rosenfeld, the young keyboard star, who has set new standards in the simcha halls. He once again surprises us with a particularly thoughtful and creative arrangement for this medley. It is performed by Yoeli Davidovich and the ‘Malchut‘ choir, conducted by Pinchas Bichler.
The medley opens with the dance tune ‘Rabbi Elimelech’s Nigun‘ – a tune by Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk. Later, we hear ‘Adaraba’ from ‘Tefila kodem HaTefila’ by ‘Noam Elimelech’ – the famous work composed by Yossi Green and originally performed by Avraham Fried; ‘Shenishtokek’ – another melody from the above prayer composed by Naftali Kempe; the famous ‘Heiliger Tzadik’ by Lipa Schmelzer from the album ‘V’aineinu Tir’ena’ by Yossi Gil, which is combined with ‘Zechutk Yagen Aleinu’ – the popular tune composed by Rabbi Mendel Folk of Vizhnitz, and finally another melody from the above prayer ‘Sheyihei HaKol Nachat Ruach Ailecha’ by Mona Rosenblum from ‘Mona 3’.
