New Release: “L’Chai Olamim” by Tali Yess
You know me long enough to notice that I never stick to one genre of music and whatever style the song or lyrics inspire me to compose music in, that’s what I will do. I grew up in a VERY Ashkenazi family without the spicy flavor of our Sephardi bretheren but did listen to lots of the exotic Sephardi music as a kid thanks to my mother of blessed memory’s eclectic taste in Jewish music.
After many years of writing Jewish songs in English that are more emotional and soul stirring, I decided to balance the books and produce more lively uplifting originals in Hebrew.
There is something liberating about not having to write your own lyrics and knowing that the words of our Torah and davening have a power all of their own.
This one has some spicy Sephardi flavor and might get you moving and shaking!
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime at 845-659-7653 or email me at [email protected]
