Midresher Shemot: Ovadia Chamama & Ohev Chamama With A Song For Parashat Teruma – Dira L’haskir
Singer and artist Ovadia Chamama is releasing another single from his project “Hamedrashir”. With the influence of the Parshiyos Ha’Shavua, Chamama wrote and composed his own personal thoughts and ideas.
This all started with his own ritual of reading and learning the weekly Parsha and its medrashim during Shabbos. He would then compose a song based on the idea that he had come up with on Motzei Shabbos, and spend that week recording it in the studio. Thus, on a weekly basis he would add song after song to his collection.
In the song for Parshas Trumah there is an idea about the building of the Mishkan: while reading the Parsha one might ask what the relevance of going into the minute details of all of the architecture and engineering of the Mishkan, what do we need it for today?
The words of the song help explain that Hashem is telling us that if we just follow these instructions, if we go into the details of how He wants us to build His home, he will absolutely come to be amongst us.
The song was written, composed, arranged, and produced by Ovadia himself.
