The Time To Dance Has Arrived: Yaakov Shwekey – Et Rikod Official Music Video
One of the biggest Jewish singers of all time Yaakov Shwekey just released a music video for the mega hit “Et Rikod” off the smash album KOLOT produced by Yochi Briskman. The song was composed by “hit maker” Yitzy Waldner and Yaakov Shwekey, featuring phenomenal arrangements by Amit Harel. Within days of the album’s release, “Et Rikod” became the biggest hit at smachot, and received hundreds of requests on weekly radio programs and ranked high in the top songs.
The video script was written by Hadassah Chein, directed by Aaron Orian from Olam U’moloah. There is an interesting story hidden behind the script of video. During Shwekey’s visits to children in hospitals, Yaakov met with the Chen’s family late in their home one night to sing for the sick daughter Ruth Nava z”l who was terminally ill. After several months though, tragically their daughter passed away. Shwekeys producers had a raffle, and as luck would have it Hadassah this little girl’s mother wrote the screenplay.
The video features a hero fighter pilot of the Israeli Air Force (IDF), who comes at the expense of an important mission to his twin brother’s wedding, and eventually manages to bring simchas to his brother on this meaningful day.
Shwekey will appear next week at a gala concert in the Ashdod Amphitheater Monday yud tes Tishrei sukkOT (13/10). For tickets call: 08-8507507 or visit Fun-Tasy.co.il
