Nigunei Chabad From The Shtetel To The Dance Floor: Ammamit Orchestra – Ahava Rabbah
The Ammamit Orchestra is one of the most successful bands in Israel. Musician and producer Naor Carmi established the orchestra, with the intention of combining the soul of Chassidic niggunim with the rhythms that swept across Eastern Europe.
The Ammamit Orchestra brings a special touch to Jewish music that spreads across many different styles. The orchestra joined with some of the best musicians in Israel, amongst them Evatar Banai, Yonatan Razel, Shuli Rand, and Chillik Frank, and they’ve performed in many festivals and events in Israel and around the world.
A decade after releasing their first album and a few months after the release of their single “Tzamah Lecha Nafshi”, the orchestra is now releasing a second album called “Ahava Rabbah”. The album is bringing a new touch to these Chassidic songs, and features Beri Sacharrof and Chillik Frank. Together they are bringing the best of the Chabad niggunim from the Shtetl to the Israeli dance floor, making them fun and mainstream.
There will be 9 songs in this new album, performed by Israeli singer Beri Sacharrof and the rest with the talented soloist of the orchestra Neriah Mouial.
