Chasidic Music From South Africa: Introducing Eliezer Auerbach

Eliezer Auerbach, who has been part of a musical dynasty for many years, and is now releasing his very own new single. Eliezer is the grandson of the legendary Chazzan Yitzchak Brown, who served for 35 years in a Shul in New Jersey. His father was the chief Chazzan in the main Shul in Vienna before WWII.

Auerbach says that he grew up in the Chassidic music of his roots, specifically Modzitz and Chabad music. He has studied in the Yeshivos Maor Eliyahu, Kol Torah, and later in Pachad Yitzchak, as well as Mir.

The twists and turns of life brought him to Johannesburg, South Africa, where he again revealed his musical talent by serving as the Chazzan there.

In the past decade, he has served as the resident Chazzan in Kehilas Ohr Sameach, in Cape Town, South Africa.

Recently, he has received many requests to begin an independent musical career for himself, and now, he is finally delivering this dream and releasing his first impressive single from his upcoming debut album, which is mostly being composed and produced by the famous Yoely Dickman.
