Yonatan Shainfeld & Kobi Brummer In A New Duet “Shomer Aleinu”
Over Chanukah, Yonatan Shainfeld released a new single called Shomer Aleinu produced by David Fadida, together with Kobi Brummer. The song itself was musically produced by Doron Elimelech.
The words “Shomer Aleinu” talks about the people of Israel dealing with the decrees imposed on it in each generation, and as the song says “V’Rak Ata Shomer Aleinu”, only G-d saves them. Of course the words correspond to Chanukah and the miracle of the rescue of the people of Israel, but during every holiday and day in the Jewish calendar, the actual words can be felt more than ever.
“I wrote the song for Chanukah, with words that would fit in these days,” says Yonatan Shainfeld, “but at one point I realized that these words are relevant to us every single day. It is our duty to thank G-d for his miracles that every day, nothing is taken for granted. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to sing together with the mega star Kobi Brummer. Kobi adds lots of character and energy to the song and really upgraded the performance to the next level.”
