Starting Over Again: “Bereishis” – A New Single From Avrum Mordche Schwartz
On the occasion of starting over the yearly cycle of Torah with Sefer Bereishis, composer and musician Avrum Mordche Schwartz, in collaboration with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and senior musicians in Israel, releases a new single for the words “Bereishis Bara Elokim”
“We strive for a new world, a world that was and is gone,” says Avrum Mordche. “Precisely at a time when the world dealing with so much uncertainty, is when we read the opening passuk of the Torah and we are filled with optimism. Hashem says ‘Let there be light’ and there was light. And what do we need more right now than some light in our lives in this current state”.
The magical arrangement created by Schwartz, seeks to convey through it the atmosphere of Hashem’s creation- of a new world full of light!
