The Shevet Achim Family/Band Is Releeasing A New album: B’Gan Eiden Mikedem

The band Shevet Achim will be releasing their 5th album within the next few days, which is called B’Gan Eiden Mikedem. The album is exciting news for Klezmer and classic Jewish music. Like the albums before it, this will be filled with exciting instrumental wedding songs, soft and emotional.

The niggunim on the album are those that have been played for ages until today. Due to Chilik Frank, the talented clarinetist who is featured on many of the niggunim on the album, these niggunim have returned to be played at weddings nowadays.

Shevet Achim began as a family band in honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of the parents of the family. This upcoming album is dedicated in honor of the 64th anniversary, and features two generations of musicians: R’ Daniel Cohen on clarinet, his sisters Devorah Bilinky on flute and piccolo, and Rachel on violin. Two of the married children of Devorah are also featured: Miriam on violin, and Moshe as second clarinet.
