Ovadia Chamama: Hamatana Shelanu
Here is a new song from the album that is soon to be released by Ovadia Chamama.
This song was inspired by the words written by Pierre Poilievre ( the Speaker of the Opposition in Canada). It presents an historical and faith based perspective on the Jewish people in history.
The idea is rooted in his description of a Shabbat experience in Israel in his youth.
“It was obvious that it was deeply ingrained in him. When I watched the video of his moving words during the war, I had no choice but to create a song for them,” says Ovadia.
The song is another chapter from the new album, which was written entirely in the wake of the war that was forced on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Among the main themes of the song: a historical perspective on persecution of the Jewish people, the power of Shabbat, the visions of the neviim (prophets), and the r hope for world peace.
The accompanying music video was produced and animated using artificial intelligence, and edited by Ohr Chaim Ben David, with great talent and imagination.
Over the past two years, Ovadia Hamama has been working on an album inspired by the events in the country. The album seeks to provide hope, comfort and empowerment from a broad and faith based perspective.
