New From Eliezer Schwaber: The ‘Zochrainu L’Chaim’ Medley

Eliezer Schwaber (the “Ha’meoririm” series), and the one who has completed dozens of yeshiva melodies, is now releasing a special melody for the Yamim Noraim – “Zochrainu L’Chaim“, as part of his mythological series of melodies “Ha’meoririm 3.5“.

The medley includes songs from the Rosh Hashanah Mussaf, with the exception of the Ribono shel Olam, which is taken from the Tashlich and Ya’leh, which is taken from the Yom Kippur night Tefilla . The songs were composed by Schwaber over the past 20 years, with some having already been published in one form or another, and some seeing the light of day for the first time.

Thus writes the composer, Eliezer Schwaber:

“And this is to my knowledge that the only reason I publish my songs is because I want to be able to awaken hearts and bring them closer to our Father in Heaven. The Kotzker said that the hall of music is the hall of teshuva, and my friend Rabbi Simcha Rothschild showed me in the Sefer Hachinuch that the mitzvah : ‘Since man, being a material being, needs a great awakening to things, because nature, without awakening, will stand as it is, and nothing will awaken it like the sounds of music, this is known.

Schwaber concludes with hope, “And if I am able to awaken the soul of one soul, even if only a little – and that will be my reward.”

The current choir features Jeff Hurvich as a musical producer who managed to produce a choir with a rare Jewish soul flavor, and David Taub, who was entrusted with producing the vocal harmony, who brought his simple and sweet Chassidic flavor as always, and of course the Yedidim International Choir under the direction of Rabbi Yaakov Rotblat.

Incidentally, during the choir recordings, when we got to the song “Ki Kishimcha,” tremendous excitement erupted in the studio, and tears poured out when they reached the words and melody of “V’ad Yom Moso Tichake Lo, Im Tashuv, Miyad Tikablo”.
David even managed to release his own version of this song, which he called “Miyad Tikablo.”

All of this continues the tradition of quality and spiritual depth that characterizes the “Ha’meoririm” series. Albums that have become musical icons among Torah scholars and yeshiva students

I daven that the medley will indeed stir hearts during these terrible days and in general, and will bring many closer to their Father in Heaven. May we all be blessed with a blessed and spiritually and physically blessed year, a year in which the sword and plague will cease from us and peace will dwell within us, and we will be blessed to see the Mashiach Ben David standing and saying, “The time for your redemption has come.”
