Nachman Cohen Presents: A Moving Medley With The Musicians Rabbi Shlomie Taussig & Akiva Gruman: “Yeshiva Zits”
Yeshiva Kinyan Daat – Jerusalem, headed by Rabbi Moshe Roth, Shlita, celebrated the end of the Seder Kodshim combined with the Tu Bishvat party in the month of Shevat, in a particularly moving and uplifting event.
On the occasion of the visit to Israel of the famous musician Rabbi Shlomie Taussig from the United States, who maintains a close and ongoing connection with the yeshiva and the young men, a special Farbreng was held with his participation. At the request of Rabbi Shlomie, his close friend, the musician Rabbi Akiva (Kivale) Gruman, also joined the evening, along with musician Nachman Cohen and his orchestra.
During the evening, the great power of a kind word between friends was emphasized, with the Yiddish song “Ein Gut Vort” becoming a song of many and a kind of yeshiva anthem. Rabbi Akiva Gruman added a unique touch when he put Yiddish lyrics to the song “Tzi’uka” by Mordechai Ben David, and taught it to the boys with great enthusiasm and an atmosphere of elation.
The event left a deep impression on the participants, combining Torah, emotion, music, and encouragement between people befitting such a sublime occasion.
