Live Living Room Sessions The Portnoy Brothers: Dror Yikra – Yonatan Razel
The Portnoy Brother Sruli and Mendy Portnoy are both Jerusalem based, Musicians/recording artists. Currently working on original material for their first studio album. To date they have released some really dynamic videos on Youtube some original and some covers, and they never fail to amaze their fans who have grown greatly in the last few years. This latest video is performed by Mendy Portnoy and is a cover of Yonatan Razel‘s hit song Dror Yikra.
Rather than go down the Record Label route, which can be extremely over-bearing on the artists creative freedom, coupled with the fact that in this day and age it no longer costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a record, the brothers budgeted the cost of our debut album to a mere 9,000 GBP, so the duo launched a Indiegogo campaign.
They started working about a month ago and just last week finished the first single. The money will be spent on recording the music (studio hours), mixing, mastering, printing, distribution etc.
The entire project should take approximately a year and twenty percent of all album sales will be going to a worthy charity.
Don’t forget, its all or nothing – if they don’t raise ALL the money, they don’t get any!!
